Red Wine Short Ribs

This recipe, which started with a friend, was an experiment with short ribs, using a wine and bone broth sauce to slow cook them. The very best!



Short ribs recipe

Salt pepper generously all sides and sear all sides

- same pan, add chopped onion, carrots, celery

- add garlic, thyme, rosemary, oregano (optional)

- add 1-2 spoons of tomato paste, and sear few more minutes

- add bottle of red wine

- place ribs bone side down and top with broth until nearly submerged

- cook at whatever heat covered for several hours

- strain and boil down sauce until thickens
